A Science Laboratory for Children in Brazil
What is this about?
The Centro Educativo João Paulo II is located in a marginalized neighborhood of Salvador de Bahía, Brazil, and for many years it has dreamed of having a Science Laboratory. A space where students can learn through research and experimentation, connecting theory with practice; a place where they can discover that they have the ability to build a different future.
The project is already fully designed: there is a detailed inventory of everything needed and a teacher ready to lead it. This teacher, who currently teaches physics with very limited resources—sometimes, as they say, leaving the classroom “exploded” after so much experimentation—is himself a former student of the center. Thanks to his curiosity and the support he received as a child, he was able to attend university and become a science teacher. Today, he dreams of awakening in new generations the same curiosity that once opened doors for him and gave him hope.
Kreatio visited the center in Brazil and offered to raise the funds so that this laboratory can finally become a reality. With your help, by joining forces, we will make it happen.
why is it necessary?
The children and young people served by the Centro Educativo João Paulo II live in an environment marked by poverty, inequality, and a lack of access to basic learning resources. Many grow up without prospects, without safe spaces to discover, explore, and dream.
Who will benefit?
More than 600 children and young people, from 1st to 9th grade, at the Centro Educativo João Paulo II—all coming from contexts of high social vulnerability.
how can you help?
By contributing any amount you choose—every contribution, no matter how small, adds up and makes a real difference. You can also help by spreading the word about this project: share it with your contacts, on social media, or with anyone who might be interested.
Thank you very much for supporting this dream!
